Basia is a graduate researcher taking part in the Ecosystem Approach project. She brings a background in journalism, communications, conservation, and policy development she gained working and studying in the Great Lakes basin, as well as in the Cayman Islands, where she lived for many years. In her graduate research at GLIER she draws on her experience in freshwater management and stakeholder relations to explore the roles and opportunities open to boundary organizations and actors who are essential in bridging science, policy and practice.
