IPBES
Project Overview
IPBES is the UN-supported Intergovernmental science-policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, also seen as the biodiversity equivalent to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
Dr. Febria was an inaugural IPBES Fellow in the Asia-Pacific Regional Assessment (2015-2018), a nominated expert on the forthcoming Nexus Assessment (2020), and was nominated to the elite Multidisciplinary Expert Panel (MEP) who oversees the technical and scientific peer-review process across all IPBES projects. Dr. Febria will be a MEP member for a three-year appointment (2022-2025).
Through IPBES, our team engages in robust literature syntheses on various dimensions of biodiversity, restoration, local and Indigenous Knowledges. We engage in methods and processes to ensure that science is policy-relevant and actionable at local to global scales.
