she/her

Halima has joined HHL as a research assistant.

In her own words: “My biochemistry major allowed me to gain a technical and theoretical perspective on the mechanisms of life. Through volunteering at the HHL lab, I hope to gain a holistic and comprehensive outlook on the current health of what sustains that very life (i.e. freshwaters). I'm also passionate about ecological conservation relating to freshwater ecosystems. From projects such as Shayenna Nolan's "Streams of the Anthropocene," I get the opportunity to learn the impact of human actions on local stream pathways. Outside of academia, I enjoy cooking and attempting (yet failing miserably, might I say) to learn new languages.”
