Shayenna is our Director of Communications and is also a graduate student in Integrative Biology. While in school, she has also worked in digital media, and uses this unique skillset to manage our communications strategy. In her comms role Shayenna facilitates the development of media outputs based on the lab’s primary research activities, outreach, and community events. A member of the lab’s Indigenous Knowledge Circle (IKC), she also works to incorporate Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) into our translation pieces.
