Teamwork got us through a covid farm fieldwork season

Congratulations to HHL MSc student Lauren Weller on the successful completion of her 2020 field season! Covid may have thrown a spanner in her spring fieldwork plans but we were able to pivot and when research resumed so did fieldwork. It was a race to finish before the crops came off but the HHL team sprang into action to help and we got it done.

With 12 sites surveyed, 120 boreholes augered and a total of 480 soil samples collected, it truly was a herculean effort.

We are so grateful to have a network of collaborating farmers whose curiosity and passion for the land continue to make what do we possible.

Thank you to everyone who helped or contributed to this effort!
